Redhead Oxford Wool Sakasa Kebari - Tenkara Fly Tying Video

Tom Davis has told me about this fly as one of his favorite kebari to use, here is a link to an article on Tom's favorite tenkara flies>>. He uses either red wire or copper wire on his but I like to use Antique Gold Micro Metal from Semperfli. I also changed up the dubbing thorax slightly to some Vicuna Dubbing I like. It is a very productive fly that has been toughly tested by Tom over the years. Enjoy!

Fly Tying Recipe Materials List:

• Moonlit ML062 #10 barbless fly tying hook
• Red & Black Semperfli Classic Waxed Thread
• Vicuna Dubbing in the color Black Peacock
• Semperfli Micro Metal in Antique Gold color (Copper or Red wire is what Tom uses)
• Jamieson's Shetland Spindrift Yarn in Oxford color
• Partridge Hackle (or pheasant hackle)
• My favorite Whip Finish tool: Stonfo Whip Finisher

This is a simple effective soft hackle tenkara fly that should work good especially for trout in mountain creeks & streams. This fly is meant to be fished as a wet fly (sub-surface).
