These tungsten bead head soft hackles sink fast and is a great option to bring your fly down to the fish hugging the bottom. This fly pattern is a creation of our own that Brent uses often in deeper creek runs and small rivers to get the fly down to the trout hugging the bottom. We have also had great luck using this fly for warm water fish.

Tied on a high quality size #12 Moonlit hook.
You get 12 flies.

Casting bead head flies on a tenkara setup needs to be done right as they can damage your rod if it hits your rod, see the article "Safely Casting Beadhead Flies on Tenkara Rods" for instructions if needed.

Great product

I picked up a box of these because I liked the color. I caught a trout in the Uintah after about 10 minutes of fishing. This was only my second time fishing with a Tenkara rod so definitely still learning the technique.

Fantastic fly!

I love the bead and soft reverse hackle. It sinks quickly, but you can still make it move easily because of the hackle. Depending on the time of day, this or a Mr. Rapidan has become my go-to fly for late season Virginia brooks and browns.

Fished a small mountain lake in Montana recently. This lake is typically full of smaller size Artic Grayling and some cutthroat. I fished from my pontoon raft. After about an hour and minimal action. I switched to the War bird bead head. First time using this fly. The Grayling action was immediate and constant. Landed 40 of them and stopped. This fly clearly was the reason.

TROUT CANDY!

I ordered some of these this spring and Brent 's Warbirds are making my tenkara fishing super easy! They are great for casting in any riffle! I caught at least 30 brown trout with one of these flies last February in Wisconsin!
