Starling feathers have a beautiful iridescent look to them. They are an excellent feather to use when tying small wet flies and sakasa kebari. They provide a sparse feather with tremendous movement that make them perfect for tying these types of flies. You can find feathers to tie a variety of flies ranging from a size 14 all the way to a size 20.

Disappointed, appears that have feather plucked from the skin in areas I would not have expected. Had this been on a rack, I would have passed up for another skin.

Great skin, great price.

Good little pelt. Lots of smaller size sakasa hackle and even got a few size 10 or 12 out of it, if you pluck some closer to the wing.

Good small feathers for soft hackle. You can get a few size 12 or tens maybe out of it, mostly sizes 14 and under.
