YGK ULTRA Sight Thin Tenkara Level Line

Great light level line that i find works very well for tight line nymphing.
I tie on a short section of hi viz sighter tippet like the Rio or Orvis , and then a tippet ring on the very end. Very light weight which mimics the ultra light leaders that the competitive euro nymphing anglers are using.

This is an incredibly good line, for the right rod! It’s sold in Japan for squid fishing, which is done at night, hence the incredibly visible dye job. It also has less memory than other lines, not to mention that it’s 150 meters of line.
BUT, the largest size it’s made in is a 2.0, which actually measures between a 2.0 and 2.5. I use this on my Suntech Kurenais, both the 3.0m and 3.9m and it casts wonderfully. These are a 7.5 and 12 penny rods, and it’s a perfect match for those rods.
Extremely visible, casts great, incredible value.
