This is my Favorite of the Tanuki Rods. It is so fun to fish for big or small fish, and I have caught some really big fish on this rod.
MADE with HIGH QUALITY STANDARDS & SUPER LIGHT WEIGHT
Tanuki 425 Specs
weight: 3.4 oz
handle length: 11.75″
Tanuki 425 Tenkara rod is crafted with care and designed for anglers who love to catch beautiful fish. Tanuki 425 is built for all level of experience. Tanuki 425 has a smooth casting feel like a traditional high-end Japanese Tenkara rod but has a strong backbone for controlling fish like American Tenkara rods. It is designed and built for all levels of Tenkara fishing.
Grip is built with a high quality synthetic EVA and wood for comfort, increased sensitivity and durability. By putting the index finger on the wooden section of the grip, fishers would have a better feeling the rod vibration.
The ultra light and high flexible tip section is designed for better casting with level line and light lines but it also casts all our Moonlit furled lines very well, I am a furled line guy and I like the Tachi with this rod. Recommended level line #3(experienced) to #3.5 to all.
With a strong strong backbone of Western Tenkara rod and delicate flexibility of traditional Japanese tips, Tanuki 425 rod is built for pinpoint casting. It is designed for anglers who like to fish with a small dry fly as well as heavy Czech nymphing style.
Testimonial from Brent Auger: “The Tanuki has a premium feel and cast, as well as top notch aesthetics. You are going to feel the smoothness of your cast with this rod. The first time I cast the Tanuki rods I thought “WOW, this is a very very nice rod” and I have cast many high end rods in the past from Japan and this rod still stands out from all of them. After several month of fishing Tanuki rods and lots of fish big and small, I can tell you that you will love any of the Tanuki rods no matter how nice of a rod you already have. ”
Testimonial from Jud McKee: “The Tanuki 425 Snow has to be the most beautiful rod I’ve fished with to date. I say to date because I’m on the list for a 375 Snow which will give it a run for its money. I have fished the 425 on the Owens, Hot Creek, and upper Sacremento Rivers. Thrown little #18-20 drys, #8-12 Kebari, streamers, and I don’t know what size the stones we threw on the upper Sac were but in the evening insects were as as big as my pinky. I think it was most impressive recently on the upper Sac. The snow melt was on, the flies big and heavy, and the river was pumping at near 2000 cfs and yet somehow I was still able to feel the rainbows soft tug… definitely amazing.”
Testimonial from Hawk F.: “Thanks for the Black Beauty; just got it in the mail the day before my trip to Sun Valley. Best rod I ever casted and of course was a huge asset to win the Single Fly with a landslide.”
