violet mendori jun kebari

Violet Mendori Jun Kebari

Hen Feathers are our absolute favorite to tie, and tying them in a Jun or Soft Hackle style is our go to.  We have tremendous confidence in these styles of patterns.  Mendori means Hen Feather, and Jun means normal hackle.  So this is a hen feather tied in normal rearward facing making it a Mendori Jun Kebari.  This pattern is sleek and will create a lot of movement pulsing with the current, or twitch. We love fishing purple flies as they hold color better than any other color in the water, and violet is a magical shade of purple close to the ultraviolet spectrum.  Enjoy tying and fishing this pattern, and get creative with your color choices.  Make sure to share those with us!!!
